L'AZIENDA
Nel 1959 Boschetti Elviro fonda a Cesenatico la Cantieri Navali Boschetti, azienda artigiana specializzata in costruzione di imbarcazioni passeggeri in legno, ma che esprime tutta la sua esperienza anche nella costruzione di imbarcazioni da pesca e diporto, utilizzando anche materiali come vetroresina e lega leggera.
Racconta:"In questi lidi, da sempre meta di vacanza, dagli anni cinquanta-sessanta generazioni di turisti hanno visto spuntare piano piano centinaia di barche, tra navi passeggeri e pescherecci. Il boom delle barche è assurto qui, grazie ai diversi cantieri, a vette notevoli. Grazie ai maestri d'ascia, leggendarie figure di artigiani in grado di ricostruire l'unità delle fasi lavorative, in toto dall'origine."
Nel 1984 l'esordio con le motonavi, la prima è Principessa, attualmente a Zara, dall'altra parte dell'Adriatico. Poi è stato il turno di Adriatic Princess, il nostro fiore all'occhiello: la prima è del 1989 (è a Napoli), la seconda del 1992 (è all'Argentario), la terza, varata nel 2002, opera nelle nostre rotte tradizionali: Cesenatico - Rimini, fino a Pesaro, con escursioni notturne e cerimonie nuziali.
L'Adriatic Princess III è un gioiello nel suo genere: lunga 31 metri, in grado di imbarcare 330 persone e di navigare in tutta sicurezza alla velocità di 20 nodi a tutto carico. Realizzata interamente in legno, secondo le migliori tradizioni dei maestri d'ascia, avvalendosi delle tecnologie d'avanguardia anche per la parte elettronica.
L’Adriatic Princess 4 è l’ultima costruzione 2014 che ha operato in varie regioni d’Italia tra cui la Sicilia, Campania, Toscana e attualmente è in Calabria.
E’ in corso la costruzione della Mn. “ Adriatic Princess Five” in vetrorisina e sarà pronta per ‘l estate 2018.
La passione per le imbarcazioni ha da tempo contagiato anche i figli di Elviro Boschetti: Fabio e Maurizio , maestri d'ascia (per conseguire questa qualifica sono occorsi tre anni di apprendistato e poi un esame presso la Capitaneria) e l'altro figlio Andrea che si occupa oltre al cantiere, della conduzione di questi splendide unità. La tradizione si avvale quindi di degnissimi continuatori.
In 1959, Elviro Boschetti founded the Cantieri Navali Boschetti shipyard in Cesenatico. This small craftsman company specializes in the construction of passenger boats in timber, but also demonstrates its great experience by building fishing boats and leisure craft with other materials like fibreglass and light alloy.
As Elviro Boschetti tells us, “Our coast has always been a holiday attraction, and from the 1950’s and 1960’s generations of tourists have slowly seen hundreds of boats take to the water, used both for leisure trips and for fishing. The boom in boats has reached true peaks of excellence, thanks to our local shipyards, and thanks to our master shipwrights, legendary craftsmen capable of every phase of boat-building, from start to finish.”
In 1984 the yard started with passenger boats, and the first was the “Principessa”, now based in Zadar on the other side of the Adriatic. Then came the “Adriatic Princess” series, our pride and joy, with the first in 989 (now at Naples), the second in 1992 (at Argentario), and the third, launched in 2002, sailing on our traditional routes, from Cesenatico to Rimini and as far as Pesaro, with evening cruises and wedding parties.
The “Adriatic Princess III” is a veritable jewel, 31 metres long and capable of embarking 330 persons for cruises in total safety at speeds up to 20 knots with a full load. Made entirely in wood in the best traditions of boat-building, but also featuring advanced electronics technologies.
The Adriatic Princess 4 is the last ship we delivered in the year 2014. It has already navigated in the regional waters of Sicily, Campania, Tuscany and at present of the region of Calabria.
At present, Cantieri Navali Boschetti is assembling the Mn. Adriatic Princess 5, totally made of fiberglass; the ship will be delivered in the summer of 2018.
The passion for boats has long since been transmitted to Elviro’s sons, Fabio and Maurizio, both master shipwrights after apprenticeships of three years followed by official harbourmaster examinations. Another son, Andrea , captains these splendid boats. The Boschetti tradition is being carried on by worthy successors.
